I can't believe this is one of Julia Quinn's novels.. I was very disappointed.. It was all banter and corny puns.. Even through the kissing scenes it was all talk. It dis get ok towards the end, but I wasn't impressed, and I'm a loyal reader.. I don't think I'll purchase another of her books the last two where just blah. So in my opinion don't buy this book hit the library n just borrow it..

I think JQ is tired and out if ideas. She tries too hard to make the hero likable and she failed to make Annabelle a great character. Her story lines are becoming the same and it's all getting old. I wish I hadn't bought this book and I want my 6 dollars back. The plot was not so good. JQ needs to go back to writing great novels.

I rank this third in the Bevelstoke Series. It's funny and witty, but not as touching as my favorite, The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever. Still JQ fans will like this book.

Pretty goo

I enjoyed this book much, much more than her last three. Annabelle was great, but there really needed to be more about her grandmother!!! This book is more JuliaQuinn's style than we have seen in a long time

Shanking my head...

I can't believe this is one of Julia Quinn's novels.. I was very disappointed.. It was all banter and corny puns.. Even through the kissing scenes it was all talk. It dis get ok towards the end, but I wasn't impressed, and I'm a loyal reader.. I don't think I'll purchase another of her books the last two where just blah. So in my opinion don't buy this book hit the library n just borrow it..

I only got to chapter six or so and got bored. The characters are likable enough but there was no pull to find out what happens to them. Usually I enjoy Julia Quinn much more than this.

I Shouldn't Have Bought This Book

Julia Quinns earlier books are the best. When He Was Wicked, An Offer From A Gentleman, The Duke and I, On the Way to the Wedding are all really good books. 10 things I love about you was not. I think JQ is tired and out if ideas. She tries too hard to make the hero likable and she failed to make Annabelle a great character. Her story lines are becoming the same and it's all getting old. I wish I hadn't bought this book and I want my 6 dollars back. The plot was not so good. JQ needs to go back to writing great novels.
